Get some sun

Yes, the sun is good for you – in moderation, of course. The body produces Vitamin D when exposed to the sun, and this "sunshine vitamin" helps the body absorb calcium, which keeps your bones healthy. Sunshine also improves our mood and an Australian study found that people had higher serotonin levels on bright sunny days than on cloudy ones.

So what, now what? Open the curtains first thing upon waking and let some natural light in. If you're lucky enough to have a sunny day – make time to go outside and enjoy it. You only need about 15-20 minutes to expose your shoulders, arms and legs to the rays. Your face and neck are more wrinkle prone! J If you live in an area where sunlight is scarce, try a light box that mimics sunlight.
