These are the top seven reasons we want to work for a leader. This is based on neuroscience. We often lose sight of these when we want to build trust. In no particular order, they are:
Being treated fairly
Being listened to
A sense of belonging and involvement
A sense of personal growth and development
A belief in the employer's honesty and purpose
Feeling safe (job security)
So what, now what?
Reading this list might trigger a few thoughts on how you can communicate with, and relate differently to people around you. Bear in mind that the strongest driver is the "sense of belonging", where there are meaningful and positive relationships ... a sense of community!
