Turmeric: A Great Supplement

There are a number of supplements you can take to boost brain health, here's one that you may not know about: Turmeric. Turmeric, with the important curcurmin compound is being heralded as a very effective nutritional substance. Research is showing brain health benefits of boosting Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which is like fertilizer for your brain! It may even be useful in preventing and treating Alzheimer's disease and in managing depression.

So what, now what?

Add fresh turmeric to your food. Its available as a root, similar to ginger, and can be sliced or grated into food and drinks (Or use a good quality powder, if it is not in season).

Try this to kick start your day. (Use 'fresh' or powder'). A teaspoon each of turmeric; grated ginger and fresh lemon juice or apple cider vinegar in a large mug.     Top up with boiling water and voila, a boost for your day!
