Two Decision-making Systems
You have two systems in your brain. In work mode we're mostly taught to use our rational thinking, where we gather facts and data, create and evaluate options and then select the option that maximises our objective. This all happens in the cortex of our brain. But we have another system, which is housed in the limbic system of our brain. This is not always revered at work, and yet the value of accessing our intuition is enormous.
So what, now what? But how? Focus on gathering experiences (rather than just facts). Be present and fully awake in situations, so that you can recognise the fullness of the situation and potentially match it to other situations. Keep doing this until you instinctively say to yourself: "It just feels right!"
