Know your sleep habits

As Aristotle put it, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”

There are two main points that I want to make:

1. Know your Sleep Chronotype.

You may ask what is 'Chronotype'?
It is the natural inclination of your body to sleep at a certain time. Some of us are naturally (& genetically encoded) to be early birds, sometimes called a Lark.
Versus the night owl, who is more productive and creative later at night. As a result they often battle to wakeup early in the morning.

Neither is 'better /worse'. Just know your chronotype, and hopefully you haven't chosen a career that demands you to be an 'early bird' ...when you are naturally a night Owl.

2. Know your 'habits'

Habits, are the small decisions (& actions) you perform daily.
Which habits 'serve you / enhance your life'?

Which are your 'bad' habits ... that are now well entrenched...and hence 'trip you up'?

READ THIS ARTICLE that highlights a few 'poor' habits that will affect your sleep.

Sleep is the SWISS ARMY KNIFE OF HEALTH!
Make sure that you are clocking up (min) 7 hours, and that you are getting QUALITY SLEEP.

In order to do 'both'... you may need to kick some of these bad habits into touch!

DID YOU KNOW?
According to researchers at Duke University, habits account for about 40 percent of our behaviors on any given day.

Your life today is essentially the sum of your habits.
